Land Of Dreams

Homecoming
Capital Campaign

We are approved to build 18 homes and offer adults with IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities) the opportunity to live on our 140-acre Land of Dreams campus. With continued financial support from the community, we will make more dreams come true for families needing a home for their adult. Thanks to donations from the community (and no government funding) we opened our first two homes in 2024. Every home the community helps us fund will provide 4 adults with IDD a home to call their own with in-home care and support. In 2024, BrightStone was selected by TN Gov to be a Pilot Residential Program. We are now the only organization in Middle TN, allowed by law, to offer adults with IDD residential options in a campus setting. BrightStone is the first facility of its kind in Tennessee and a model facility in the nation, where dreams really do come true.

Your generous gift or pledge today will help us begin building another home to make more dreams come true. We invite you to partner with us in this vital campaign. Every gift, no matter the size, brings us closer to making this dream a reality for families who are counting on us.

Fund a Home, Build a Future

You have the power to make dreams come true by funding our next home – becoming the answer to a parent’s deepest prayer: finding a safe, loving home for their adult daughter or son with disabilities.

The Need
Housing is the heart-cry of every parent caring for a dependent adult with disabilities. The #1 concern is “Where can our adult live when we can no longer provide care due to our age or when our health fails, or when we die?

The Solution
The Homecoming Capital Campaign offers a unique opportunity to create lasting change in the lives of adults with disabilities. Each home including furnishings, costs $1,000,000 to build.

When BrightStone receives 100% of the funding for each home, in cash or pledge commitments– we will begin construction. It takes nearly 12 months to complete construction and hire staff. Your support will not only provide a home—it will give adults the opportunity to lead meaningful, fulfilled lives and offer their parents and extended family members hope for the future.

BrightStone's Land of Dreams Journey

Thank You to Our Phase 1 Partners

BrightStone is grateful for the compassion and expertise of Gamble Design Collaborative who designed our Master Site Plan and to our renowned architects, Earl Swensson Associates (ESa) – both provided their services at no cost to BrightStone.  Our constuction partners included Solomon Builders (general contractor), Civil Site Design Group (engineers), and DeFatta Custom Homes (home builder). FirstBank was our construction loan funding partner.

Our Vision for the Future

BrightStone’s Land of Dreams is transforming lives for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Situated on 140 acres, our Land of Dreams campus includes the Stinnett Center for Learning, Art, and Enterprise, and the first two of 18 planned homes, each costing $1M. The 2025 Homecoming Capital Campaign will focus on funding additional homes. Future plans include a Chapel and Event Center, Equestrian Center, Aquatic and Gymnasium facilities, Medical Clinic, Horticulture Center, ADA-accessible fishing pier, walking trails, and more, all designed to enrich adults’ lives and foster community engagement – while giving parents hope.
