FRANKLIN, TN BrightStone recently held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to honor over 160 individuals who volunteered their time and services at BrightStone in the past year.
The luncheon included a delicious lunch from Zaxbys and Hardees and a performance by the BrightStone choir.Attendees were recognized for their volunteerism in the areas of direct services, special events, Board of Directors and committee leadership, and student product finishing and sales.
Each year, select volunteers are recognized at the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon for their outstanding service and dedication to BrightStone. This years honorees were Amy Chambers, who volunteers in the areas of student product finishing, special events, and student product sales, and Jim Hinton, who is in his second term as President of BrightStones Board of Directors. Each of the honorees received a beautiful ceramic platter made by a special needs adult.
We literally could not do what we do at BrightStone without the help of our volunteers, Executive Director Brenda Hauk shared. These individuals are giving back to their community and enriching the lives of BrightStones special adults, and the only thing they receive in return is hugs and smiles. Volunteers are absolutely invaluable to us, and we are so grateful to have so many supporting our mission.
