BrightStone “Bowled Over” by BOWLABILITY Results

BrightStone’s 4th annual BOWLABILITY benefit was recently held at the Franklin Family Entertainment Center. The event was well attended, a lot of fun, and raised over $43,000 for BrightStone’s adults with special needs. “BOWLABILITY is always a blast,” said Tina Majors, Director of Fund Development.  “It’s great to see teams of co-workers, friends, and civic groups come together, engage in a little friendly competition, and have loads of fun while supporting BrightStone. We are thrilled to have surpassed $43,000 in funds raised this year and look forward to this fun event continuing to grow!” BOWLABILITY’s Top Score Sponsor was Williamson Medical Center, and Pin Partners were Signs First of Franklin and YOUR Williamson Community Magazine. This year’s Lane Sponsors included Atmos Energy, Elite Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center, The Fabric House, First Farmers and Merchants Bank, Jo’s Custom Cakes and Catering, Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, and Doris Alexander and June Caldwell. Many local businesses donated door prizes and prizes for top bowlers and fundraisers. “BOWLABILITY is such a community effort,” Tina noted. “The community comes together to form teams and spread the word about BrightStone’s mission and this event, and many supporters and businesses work with us in other ways by allowing us to hang posters in their businesses, by donating prizes or sponsoring a lane, and even by sponsoring a bowling team. We are so grateful for the support of so many in our community; it truly makes a difference in the lives of our students and their families, who live each day with unique challenges.” BrightStone is a resource in the community providing job training and employment opportunities for adults who are developmentally disabled.
