Williamson Medical Center presents STARS of the Week–Jennifer and Bobby!

jennifer croppedOne of Jennifer's BrightStone friends said she is a good example of a BrightStone student.  She is such a helpful and caring friend.  She says when she is at BrightStone she enjoys working in ceramics, bowling, riding the exercise bike, helping serve lunch and going to the learning lab. bobby Bobby makes life look so easy!  He never seems to fret about anything.  Bobby travels a long way to come to BrightStone and we are so thankful that he does!  He says his favorite BrightStone activities are yoga class, working in consumables, learning programs on the computer and bowling.

Williamson Medical Center presents STARS of the Week–Jock and Don!

BrightStone student, Jock, buying groceriesWe just celebrated Jock's 32nd birthday!  Jock loves birthdays and has the amazing ability to remember many of his friends' birthdays, even people that he does not see very often.  Jock also has an interest in adventure and likes to watch storm stories on the Weather Channel.  While at BrightStone Jock says he enjoys working in ceramics, bowling, computer activities and saying the prayer before lunch. Don is a sweet, gentle man who says he enjoys listening to country music.  When Lee plays his guitar for us,  Don is the first one to start clapping and toe tapping!  He says he also enjoys watching ice skating and eating at Logan's.  While at BrightStone his favorite activities include working in the paintBrightStone student, Don, buying groceries room, bowling, walking, learning lab activities and playing Uno.

Williamson Medical Center presents STARS of the Week–Tara and Brian!

BrightStone Student at SupermarketTara says her favorite leisure activities are watching the Disney channel, listening to the Praise Pickers, cheering for the Titans and eating at Chuy's.  While at BrightStone she says she enjoys working in ceramics, computer time, helping cook lunch, yoga class, visiting with the therapy dogs and grabbing a snack at Chick-Fil-A.  Tara is a very caring person and cherishes the friends she has at BrightStone. Brian is a very studious young man who carries around his briefcase filled with his word search books and Disney vacation planning guides.  He is ready to busy himself with any spare time he BrightStone male student at the supermarktmay have!  He enjoys his days at BrightStone and says the paint room is his favorite work area.  His other favorite activities include walking with his exercise group, going to the library and the learning lab.

When Ali's BrightStone friends were asked what they liked most about him, someone said "He is a snazzy dresser!" He likes to wear fun t-shirts and enjoys when people stop and read them. He also has a great sense of humor. Ali says his favorite BrightStone activities are working in consumables, bowling,

Upon meeting anyone new at BrightStone she immediately tells them how much she loves BrightStone! Bus Driver Needed!

BrightStone is seeking a bus driver for it's 22 passenger bus. This bus driver must have a current CDL Class B with a P Endorsement and current Medical Examiner Certificate, a clean Motor Vehicle status and submit to pre-employment drug testing. BrightStone transports adults with special needs to and from their homes on a Monday - Friday bus route. In addition, BrightStone drivers transport adults to and from community activities such as: bowling, library, parks and other community activities. Previous experience with adults with special needs is not required, but is a plus.
